Safety check

We were called on a service call the other day, to resolve lights flickering.  We responded right away witch was a good thing. We arrived and everything seemed fine. Then after examining inside of panel a discolored main lug of ITE main breaker was seen.  This Lug had been heating up under load! was not  able to tighten (lug expanded and was not possible, right before my eyes I witnessed wire arcing at lug seen wire start melting and arcing.  Main was shut down and panel replaced ASAP! If we would have arrived the next day I would think it would have burned by then.
Warning lights flickering is a big sign of a problem! You see lights flicker call Nordeast electric. :)
